Shielding

3B's - Ball Body Bozo

Players will remember these 3 words as the roll off the tongue.  The idea is to keep these 3 items in that exact order (Bozo being the opponent) to protect the ball effectively

Turn facing the ball

If opponents are touch tight and the player decides to turn, keep the ball in front of them to ensure the 3B's stay in order

Dribble with the far foot

Could be right or left.  Use of the outside is encouraged

Arm out to feel opponent

If the opponents weight shifts, players can react accordingly

Eyes up looking for space

Or a team mate.  If there is an opportunity to move the ball on from an opponent, use it

    1. Bozo represents the opponent (ie Bozo the Clown). By all means feel free to change the term to something that works for you and your players.
